What Causes Teeth to Lose Minerals?
Enamel can wear away for a variety of reasons, but one of the most common is erosion caused by acids in your diet. These acids attack your tooth enamel, wearing away the minerals that keep it strong ā a process called ādemineralizationā. Over time, this weakens your enamel, and the loss of minerals can result in white spots on your teeth, as well as changes in their shape. Demineralization is the first stage of tooth decay and can lead to cavities. Unfortunately, if decay erodes enough enamel, it can cause irreversible damage to the teeth resulting is a small hole called dental caries or cavities.
The good news is, weakened enamel can be restored and the decay causing dental caries can be halted, preventing further damage to the teeth. The lack of important minerals contributing to decay can be restored and the bacteria within caries can be eliminated without painful procedures. This process is called āremineralization.
Remineralization occurs when vital mineralsālike the calcium in our pasture raised hydroxyapatiteābond to the teeth to fill in the weakened areas of enamel.
****Our remineralizing oil made with fermented Cacao is rich in beneficial trace minerals and theobromine which has been proven to protect and repair damaged tooth enamel.

A recent study by the American Dental Association (ADA) 2013 Annual Session pitted fluoride toothpaste against a toothpaste that contained cacao (naturally occurring theobromine.)
The results showed that people who brushed their teeth with a cacao-extract toothpaste which has theobromine had 100% dental occlusion, with their teeth repairing at a rapid rate.

Do you know what ingredients are in your toothpaste? Some toothpastes are made with harmful and dangerous chemical additives. It's important to find a toothpaste with ingredients that help prevent and reduce dental health issues and it can be difficult to find one you feel is safe, let alone aids to strengthen and remineralize teeth. This is where hydroxyapatite comes in. This important mineral occurs naturally in teeth and bones. Although you won't find it in every toothpaste, hydroxyapatite plays a role in helping keep your teeth strong and brushing with it can assist with enamel restoration and remineralization.
Benefits of Hydroxyapatite:
Hydroxyapatite is an interesting material. According to a 2019 study, it has many benefits which make it a helpful material for medical and dental uses.
~Biocompatible & Bioactive ā hydroxyapatite is biologically identical to the material that human bones and teeth are made from. Because of this hydroxyapatite is not harmful to human tissue. It also has a biological effect, meaning it will help bones and teeth grow.
~Osteoconductive ā Hydroxyapatite also is osteoconductive, meaning bone can grow onto the surface of hydroxyapatite, aiding in repairing hard tissue in the body.
~Non-Toxic ā Hydroxyapatite is also non-toxic and does not cause inflammation. On the other hand, fluoride can be harmful.
~Anti-microbial ā HAp is also antimicrobial, which can help fight infection and bacteria in the mouth, according to a 2018 study.
A 2014 review found that n-HAp toothpaste has a āremarkable remineralizing effectā on teeth ā significantly better than fluoride.
The review notes that n-HAp also adheres to plaque and bacteria, making them less problematic for teeth and that n-HAp helps ease sensitivity.
According to a 2009 study, HAp can even help whiten teeth. Researchers conclude that itās a great alternative to bleaching agents. Considering yellow teeth are a result of demineralizing, it makes sense that remineralizing could help improve the white appearance of teeth.

About 3 years ago I was told I had a small cavity on one of my molars that NEEDED to be filled before it got worse.
Growing up I had TERRIBLE dental health and had already lost 4 molars (2 were failed root canals that started out as fillings)
Well, I wasnāt loosing THIS one!
I began to research about tooth remineralization and reversing tooth decay. What I found out was staggering!
So I began to change my diet, ditched my old ānatural toothpasteā, and started formulating my own. Since then Iāve noticed a huge decrease in plaque and tartar build up as well as a complete reversal of decay AND teeth sensitivity (pain in teeth when exposed to extreme temps)!
Iāve since revisited the dentist who could not find any further decay on the same tooth he said would āGET WORSEā 3 years ago!! We have been amazed at the effectiveness of our toothpaste and our ability to maintain healthy teeth and gums without the use of modern density or conventional products!
Our toothpaste is made to order in small batches and uses natural clay, trace minerals, and pure essential oils!
Ingredients: calcium hydroxyapatite from grass-fed bovine, calcium and sodium bentonite clay, filtered water, diatomaceous earth, 100% birch derived non GMO xylitol, organic stevia extract, essential oils.
Flavors:
Cassia Orange: Organic Cassia, cinnamon bark, organic sweet orange essential oils
Cool Mint: Spearmint, wintergreen, and peppermint essential oils.
Frankincense and Myrrh:
Frankincense, Myrrh, clove, and cinnamon bark Essential oils.
Unflavored will have a small amount of clove to preserve and prevent spoilage.
Check out our Remineralzing oil for oil pulling! Now contains Fermented Cacao.
